Aurelio Mateos, who graduated in Audiovisual Communication from Camilo José Cela University in Madrid in 2009, has been appointed the new deputy editor of the newspaper La Razón. Mateos, born in Pamplona in 1984, lands at this newspaper with the aim of continuing the evolution of this newspaper towards the digital world, without neglecting the paper, which allows it to adapt to new reading habits and also to the demands of readers.

The former student of UCJC has extensive native digital experience. He has worked for over 12 years in consultancies such as MJ Cachón, Flat 101 and Product Hackers.

In 2019 he started as a SEO Consultant at the newspaper Nius, and in 2021 he joined as SEO manager in the Audiences department of Mediaset Spain, where he was in charge of developing the organic traffic acquisition strategy for portals such as Telecinco, Cuatro, Divinity, Uppers or Mitele.

Mateos will face his new position as deputy editor of La Razón in charge of the digital area “deeply grateful and happy for the opportunity, and together with the digital team we hope to achieve the objectives set in this new stage.” In addition, he believes that his main challenge, together with his team, will be “to consolidate and enhance both our web traffic and the prestige obtained over the last 25 years”.
