Raúl Entrerríos, former UCJC student, along with the rest of the Spanish handball team, won the bronze medal at the 2021 World Championship, played in Egypt from 13 to 31 January.

The ‘Hispanos’, as the players of the men’s national handball team are commonly known, achieved this historic medal after defeating France in the match for third and fourth place by 35 goals to 29.

Raúl Entrerríos, captain of the Spanish team and MVP of the Asobal League in 2019, thus achieved his ninth medal for Spain, after winning gold in the 2005 World Cup and in the 2018 and 2020 European championships, silver in the 2006 and 2016 European championships, and bronze at the 2008 Olympic Games, the 2014 European Championship and the 2011 and 2021 World Cups.
