"Continuous improvement, always looking for new things, innovation processes, mixing materials and finding solutions outside the area where you are working, I would say that much of that spirit of innovation I owe to the school."
I own a company that is dedicated to measuring advertising audiences in Spain and other countries, from Spain, South Africa, Italy to Pakistan or Uganda. It is a Spanish company but with international projection and the hallmarks of the company are innovation and technology, we have contributed many new things to a sector that was quite static. And that is one of the characteristics that I think I learnt at school, in the International Baccalaureate and during my years here. Continuous improvement, always looking for new things, innovation processes, mixing materials and finding solutions outside the area where you are working, I would say that much of that spirit of innovation I owe to the school.
Many of the students feel proud to have studied here and having lived here many years or many hours, we have made many friends and not staying in contact would be a pity. So, I applaud the decision to launch this scheme, it seems very necessary, very practical and very useful for everyone.
I think it is important to emphasise the spirit behind this project and how things are done and why. And the school is certainly very clearly committed to a spirit of improvement focused on the student and their all-round education. I saw it when I was here in the 80s and I see it now with my children. And, of course, I trust in that constant spirit of improvement, of evolution, of giving, of learning and the latest technologies. And I admire that, I do not agree with the adage ‘if something is not broken, do not fix it’, I believe that we should always strive to improve, and the school embodies that spirit.
I had a great time, the truth is that all the memories of my childhood, adolescence, are associated with school and the memory is always positive, with love. You have to work, you have to make an effort, more was expected of us and I was very proud to come to school, I noticed a difference.
